Kendall | 15-days-old

“A new baby is like the beginning of all things – wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities.”
–Eda J LeShan

It still amazes me to think back to the days when I wasn’t a mom. It was only 8 ½ months ago, but seems like a completely different era. I honestly think the transition was fairly easy for my husband and I. We had only been married a year, so we hadn’t grown used to it being just the two of us. I often wonder how it would have been different had we been together longer, before we ventured down the parenthood road.

Then, I look at this family. I spent some time “Facebook stalking” Cassaundra. I “Facebook stalked” all the way back to high school, when she and Jon first met each other. The joy, the energy, the love – it was obvious throughout their photos together – they were, and will always be, two people who are meant to be together.

Two people, who have been together for a very long time, were about to turn the page. When Cassaundra messaged me, asking me to take their baby girl’s photos, I was both honored and excited! Of course I wanted to document their lives as they entered the next chapter of life!

When they brought beautiful Kendall Rose in for her session, I got to witness another one of God’s miracles first-hand. Usually this is the place in a blog where I talk about the baby, but first I want to focus on Cassaundra and Jon. They impressed me so much! The love they have for each other, and the tremendous amount of love they have for their baby girl, could move mountains!

It turns out, the length of time you know someone has nothing to do with the strength of your relationship or the ease of moving into parenthood. God’s plan for each of us is different. When your baby arrives, the past is just history. She is now and will forever be your world!

The love these two have for their sweet baby girl is larger than life. The way they consoled her when she cried, the way they loved on her when she didn’t want to sleep for her photo session;), the way they would sweep in to comfort her whenever they felt she needed it – it absolutely warmed my heart. This adorable little girl is very lucky!

And her parents, even more so, as they come to realize…Kendall Rose is the beginning of all things – wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities.
