It was a beautiful fall day. A little chilly, but nowhere near the frigid temps that would begin to hit our area a month later.
As the sun was just beginning to make its way down toward the horizon, our session began. The kids had been enjoying themselves on the playground, so rounding them up and directing them to a plain ole field was a bit of a hassle. When the pouty lips of sweet, adorable, 3-year-old Malaya came out – I grabbed my camera.
There is NOTHING more beautiful than capturing our children just the way they are!
Eventually she warmed up and we got some beautiful smiles out of her, but the raw, real photos were still my favorites out of this session. The way her head pointed down toward the ground when she was sad, the way she stared her mama down as she threw leaves into the air in an effort to get a smile, the way her mama loved on her throughout the session. Those images will remain some of my favorites forever!
Toward the end of the session we also captured the kiddos with their little cousin – images grandma can cherish forever, knowing they’ll never be this small again.
Here’s the Heleniak family with a beautiful, Wisconsin backdrop!
