What a blessing this little man already is! I’m still swooning over his captivating eyes!!!
It was only a month ago that I had this amazing family in my studio for maternity photos. We were discussing their birth plan. Their last baby left them in the hospital for days – laboring for approximately 28 hours (correct me if I’m wrong, Nicki – but I’m pretty sure it was a crazy number like that!) The doctors ended up taking baby #1, adorable little Blake, cesarean. So, for round two and the challenges they had with round one, the doctor recommended cesarean right off the bat. My “natural-is-best” thinking mind thought – no way – VBACs are so common these days – you should definitely try it. Luckily, their minds were already made up! I was in COMPLETE SHOCK when I saw the size of this baby boy on their Facebook post announcing his birth…Reece came out a whopping 10 pounds, 5 ounces!!!
Also, something for those of you expecting the doctor to determine the weight of your baby before he or she is born….take that guestimate with a grain of salt. The Liebergen’s doc guessed Reece would be an 8.5 pounder – only a couple pounds off;)
This session was so much fun…but I guess that’s to be expected when I get to work with amazing families like this!
